Chavurah Groups
Welcome to the exciting world of TBS Chavurot! Temple Beth Sholom adopted the concept several years ago with the idea of becoming a catalyst and sponsor of groups of Temple members with common interests. It orchestrated the formation and support of several such Chavurot. Ideally, a Chavurah provides support, celebration, companionship, and study opportunities for its members. It is a great way to make new friends and feel more a part of our Jewish community.
Each Chavurah is unique, and the common thread is the Jewish community in general, and Temple Beth Sholom in particular. The Chavurah reflects the collective virtues of its members, and its activities are chosen and carried out by the members. Each one plans its own activities and operates independently. Your Chavurah can become an extended family for you and your family – you can share holidays, get together for social get together at home, go out (to eat, to plays and movies, to Temple, play a sports or other games, study and learn together). Why, the list is only limited by your own imagination!
